In terms of internationalization, iNEMS has successfully recruited Professor Takehiko Kitamori, an international pioneer of nano/micro fluidic research, who was the vice president of the University of Tokyo. And then iNEMS hired Assistant Professor Morikawa Kojiro, an elite member of Professor Takehiko Kitamori's previous research team in Tokyo. Furthermore, Professor Hiroyuki Fujita, the winner of the IEEE Robert Bosch Award (the highest honor in the field of MEMS technology) also joined the faculty of iNEMS.

Professor Kitamori Takehiko even moved all the equipment for the micro-nano scale glass fabrication process at the University of Tokyo into the Tsinghua Laboratory at NTHU, where he formed a large R&D team with iNEMS domestic faculty & students. Quoted by Director Sheng-Shian Li: In addition to the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology (currently the National Science and Technology Council) top-level plan (Academic Summit Program) that brings more than NT$20 million each year, Professor Kitamori Takehiko's impressive achievements in Nano-Microfluidics have also led to the multinational industry-university cooperation plan with Daicel. A new start-up company related to this project was also established in Taiwan. In the future, a large research team including Taiwan, Japan, and Sweden will be formed. It has become a large-scale project and also the first transnational university-level research center in NTHU with a total expenditure of more than NT$100 million in the next five years.

These recruitments have not only enabled the new generation of faculty & students of iNEMS to have a wide international perspective, but also greatly facilitated international innovation and enhanced the global visibility of iNEMS.
