Application of Quartz Oscillators
Abstract
Quartz oscillator is an essential component of up-to-date electronic technology. Nowadays, quartz devices are abundantly applied in 5G wireless systems, Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Vehicles (IoV).They are used to generate frequencies to control and synchronize almost all communication systems. They provide the synchronizing elements in timing equipment such as clocks, watches, computers and microprocessors.
The phenomenon of piezoelectricity of quartz crystal was discovered by the Curie brothers in France in 1880.
